February 19 — LDS: Devil Perverts Scripture. Doctrinal New Testament Commentary 1:625 “The devil wages war against the scriptures. He hates them, perverts their plain meanings, and destroys them when he can. He entices those who heed his temptings to delete and discard, to change and corrupt, to alter and amend, thus taking away the key which will aid in making men ‘wise unto salvation.’ (2 Tim. 3:15-17.)” — Bruce R. McConkie

2 Timothy 3:15-17 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

I came across the LDS reference above several days ago and it took me awhile to think about what this guy said. I’m limiting myself to a couple of thoughts.
1.As I’ve said many times before I believe there are people in the Church who’ve made a pact with Satan himself. At some point in his/her life they have knowingly turned their back on the Lord. Whether McConkie did that or not is something only he and God knows.
2.The irony of his statement shan’t go unnoticed. Don’t forget Paul’s warning in Ephesians 4:14 —
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”
The phrase craftiness of men refers to those who offer a game of chance. The word craftiness is kubeia and literally means a cube or die which of course is gambling.
Believing what McConkie said is nothing less than gambling with your salvation.
Mr. McConkie was a smart guy and had been around the leadership of the Church for a long time. After all, he was married to a daughter of Joseph Fielding Smith who was the 10th LDS prophet.
The leadership of the Church still uses McConkie’s vast works which are readily available to members. Don’t let people say the Church doesn’t use his writings because they do all the time.
Lastly beloved, please pray for Jesus to guard the hearts of Mormons!

Didn’t Joseph Smith change scriptures by coming up with the Mormon Bible?
M.J.
As a matter of fact they did!
It’s called the JST version – which stands for the Joseph Smith translation. You can find info about it at Wikipedia.
Here’s the link
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Smith_Translation_of_the_Bible
Or you can read it on the Church’s site.

That’s ok. Anyone that changes scripture isn’t a prophet. Wake up Mormons.🙏🙏🙏🙏They said it the devil wages war against scriptures.
A true prophet will ALWAYS uphold what the Lord has said in His word. God has never gone back on what He’s said. What kind of God would that be?
