February 11 — LDS: No Death-Bed Repentance. General Conference, April 1935, p. 11 “We believe that, through the atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
NEED OF OBEDIENCE
We believe emphatically in what it says, “by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.” We have no faith in death-bed repentance. We have no faith that by making a confession just before death we can be saved.” — Heber J. Grant

Luke 23:39-43 “And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

If you can’t trust Jesus in your deepest darkest hour how can you trust Him at all?
The thief on the cross is a great example that you can’t earn salvation. The thief had run out of time which is a good reminder of what Paul said in Romans 10:9-10 —
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
There are 613 laws in the OT. Ask the Mormon if they’re going to live by the Law are they keeping all of those?
Please share with a Mormon how important it is to live by faith, not works!
One last thing – in the Greek the word gospel is euangelion and it means good news. It’s in the Bible 95 times! If you have to work for salvation is that really good news?

It’s a lonely world to live in if you try to live up to standards that are ever evolving.
