February 28 – Rejecting Jesus to Rejoice in Joseph. Psalm 22:26-27 “The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.”

There are a few things to take notice of in the second part of this Mormon hymn below.
You don’t qualify as a martyr when you shoot, and kill someone while trying to escape from jail.
Smith’s priesthood is not endless. Only Jesus’ priesthood is endless.
The kingdom of heaven belongs to Jesus, not Smith.
How does earth atone for someone’s blood?
_____
“Praise to his mem’ry he died as a martyr; Honored and blest be his ever great name!
Long shall his blood, which was shed by assassins, Plead unto heav’n while the earth lauds his fame.
Great is his glory and endless his priesthood. Ever and ever the keys he will hold.
Faithful and true, he will enter his kingdom, Crowned in the midst of the prophets of old.
Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven; Earth must atone for the blood of that man.
Wake up the world for the conflict of justice. Millions shall know “Brother Joseph” again.”

Hi Mj –
I ditto your comment. May the Lord God Jesus have mercy on their souls.
I have never heard/sang a hymn, gospel or worship song, that doesn’t glorify God, or praise Jesus.
As a Christian it’s really hard to hear songs like ‘Praise to the man” and ‘Hie to Kolob’.
I understand the LDS church has changed some of the lyrics to ‘Amazing Grace’. What’s so “amazing” about grace “after all you can do”?

It should go w/out saying this has to be one of the all-time worst songs they could’ve published. If it had been taken out of their song book, I MIGHT reconsider not bringing it up,
Alas, ’tis not the case…sigh…
We’ll be talking about their rendition of Amazing Grace in the not too distant future.

It is nothing more than a song of worship and praise to their false prophet who, according to their doctrine, is now a god himself. Such blasphemy!
amen to that brother!
If you want to see an even worse LDS “hymn,” I published an article about it in 2014:
