March 9 – All are Born Sinners. Romans 5:19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous”.

We have been born into sin (John 9:34) and have need for a Savior who can cleanse us from ourselves!
Mormons do not believe they have been born under the sin of Adam, (2nd Article of Faith: “We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression”.).
They also say that man has their own free will to sin or not, yet their own scripture would deny this claim.

2 Nephi 2:21 “…for he showed unto all men that they were lost, because of the transgression of their parents”.

We looked at some of this yesterday but sharing it with a Mormon can’t be stressed enough.
Please pray for the Mormon people and ask what they think of what Nephi said!

I don’t find in the Bible that we are punished for Adam’s sin. We inherited his sin nature and therefore will sin, but it is our own sins for which we are punished.
I also don’t find in Scripture where it says we don’t have the free will to not sin. If we have no free will then how could we be punished for something we didn’t choose to do? Do I not have free will not to commit adultery? To not steal? To not lie?, etc. By our nature, our sin nature, we will sin and are sinners but we choose to sin—we are not forced to sin.
