May 5 — LDS: Our Worthiness Brings Us Strength. “Coming to Ourselves: The Sacrament, the Temple, and Sacrifice in Service”, General Conference, Apr. 2012 “Worthiness to hold a temple recommend gives us the strength to keep our temple covenants. How do we personally gain that strength?
We strive to obtain a testimony of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, the reality of the Atonement, and the truthfulness of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the Restoration. We sustain our leaders, treat our families with kindness, stand as a witness of the Lord’s true Church, attend our Church meetings, honor our covenants, fulfill parental obligations, and live a virtuous life. You may say that sounds like just being a faithful Latter-day Saint! You are right. The standard for temple recommend holders is not too high for us to achieve. It is simply to faithfully live the gospel and follow the prophets.”— Robert D. Hales

Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

Really, the verse in Isaiah says it all don’t you think?
How many works can you do to ensure you’re saved?
Remember, according to God’s word there are 613 Laws.
Ask the Mormon if they’re obeying all of them.
The only other alternative is of course our precious Lord Jesus and the blood He spilt for us!
With Love in Christ –

So what exactly does “Coming to ourselves” mean? Seriously, what does that even mean? It’s not about ourselves…it’s ALL about Jesus.
Sorry, but no one is worthy enough for a temple recommend. Everyone who has or had a recommend lied to get. That little card in your wallet, means no more to God than the Costco card right next to it. It’s a filthy rag to God… prideful boasting is all it is.
Also temple related, I’ve been waiting for the open house, for the Yorba Linda CA temple, so I could go tour it. But, things have been delayed because the church is once AGAIN, not wanting to cooperate with the zoning laws. If these temples were truly from Almighty God, do you really think there would be all these set backs. Why would God have all these problems building temples?
Jesus is my temple recommend

Not sure what he meant by that…
as far as the latest on Yorba Linda – you’re right! The whole thing could be avoided if they’d follow the Lord and not their hearts.
Why all these temples? Why not help the poor and widows?
M.j
MJ – that’d mean they would have to tell the truth.
Follow the prophets.?😢Their prophets change with the times.
I was commenting about something on u tube, back and forth with a Mormon. They come back and say bullying and bashing at the end of comment. I am far from a bully. Usually I am very shy. But with Gods help I can speak out about the truth about God and his word. They think everything that doesn’t agree with them is anti Mormon. I even quote scriptures.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
