October 11 — Today we have a few questions about the talk given by Mr. Dallin Oaks at this last GC.
1.Why is the Church’s doctrine center on the family and not Jesus?
2.Why was Oaks so quick to announce there wouldn’t be any new temples? We have to wonder what was going on behind the scene… See President Oaks: ‘We will not announce any new temples at this conference’.
3.Mr. Oaks also said ‘essential to that doctrine [families] is the temple’. Why wouldn’t they announce more temples if this is how families are saved?
The talk Mr. Oaks gave was not only confusing but misleading as well!
Please pray for those who listened to this guy. Remind the Mormon you know what Jesus said in John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Also share that Jesus also told a man in Luke 9:60 how they should let the dead bury their dead. This contradicts what the Church has always taught about doing works for the dead!
“Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.”
Lastly beloved, two last things in this venue –
Jesus told the Sadducees there were no marriages in heaven (Mark 12:25) and He shared a parable with the Pharisees of the rich man explaining why they couldn’t talk to dead people in Luke 16:19-31.
With all these examples it’s easy to see how Mr. Oaks went out of his way to hide the truth to his audience. Shame on him and the leaders of the Church.
With Love in Christ —
