December 12 — New Era, Dec. 2009, 2 “What does it mean to be a Saint? In the Lord’s Church, the members are Latter-day Saints, and they attempt to emulate the Savior, follow His teachings, and receive saving ordinances in order to live in the celestial kingdom with God the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ (see 2 Nephi 9:18).” – Quentin L. Cook, “Are You a Latter-day Saint?”

Ephesians 5:1-3 “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.”

A saint is someone who makes Jesus their Lord. In the Greek this word is hagios meaning sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): holy.
While part of their definition is correct (following the teachings of Jesus) no other part of the description is right.
Mormons are not part of the body of Christ and therefore sadly enough, have not made Jesus their Lord.
They’ve rejected the Jesus of the Bible and don’t accept the Bible as God’s perfect word. It’s impossible to call them saints based on those two things alone.
When you speak to a Mormon, ask in a loving manner how they define the word saint when they’ve rejected Jesus and His word.

[…] Are Mormons Really Saints? – Quentin L. Cook […]
A Saint isn’t someone that has the name saint in their church’s name. A Saint follows Jesus of the Bible and lives for him, not a church. God knows your heart. Prayers for all Mormons.
Oh how we’re praying form this!
