February 25 — Joseph Smith the Prophet, p. 108 “Joseph was an Ephraimite. He was ordained in the Grand Council before the world was. And he was that great prophet who was to come.” — Truman Madsen, 1989

Hosea 4:17, 9:11-13 “Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.”
“As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. 12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them! 13 Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.”

Poor Hosea having to write about Ephraim’s idolatry while his own wife was doing the same thing was rather ironic.
And then we have people writing that Smith came from the line of Ephraim makes this story all that much worse.
The tribe of Ephraim was no more as scriptures tell us. The Lord had put up with their idolatry for a long time and finally put an end to it by wiping out the tribe. Why the Church would proudly claim Smith is from the line of Ephraim is a wonder indeed because they’re doing the same thing by rejecting the God of the Bible and worshiping false gods.
You’d think they would’ve done their history homework.
And BTW, “that great prophet” that was to come has arrived and it’s Jesus, not Joseph!
Please pray for and share these things with a Mormon, won’t you?

[…] Was Joseph Smith “that Great Prophet”? Truman Madsen […]
Joseph Smith was a conman. He was just a common man that liked deceiving people or just was delusional. Maybe both. Prayers for all Mormons.
M.j.
Hi M.j. I think he was both.
A “great” prophet wouldn’t have had the very numerous false prophecies of Joseph Smith!
We’re praying that Mormons will stop and think about the predicament their false prophets put them in – all the false prophecies should wake them up and give them pause.
