‘What kind of god…’

General Conference, ‘Truth, and the Plan,’ October 2018 “…we also have a distinctive perspective on children. We look on the bearing and nurturing of children as part of God’s plan and a joyful and sacred duty of those given the power to participate in it.” – Dallin H. Oaks (more…)

General Conference, ‘Come, Listen to a Prophet’s Voice,’ October 2018 “As we solidify in our lives the practice of listening to and heeding the voice of the living prophets, we will reap eternal blessings. … The chief cornerstone and building block of the Church and for our lives is Jesus Christ. This is His Church. President Nelson is His prophet. President Nelson’s teachings witness and reveal for our benefit the life and character of Jesus Christ. He speaks lovingly and knowingly of the Savior’s nature and of His mission. He has also borne frequent and fervent testimony of the divine calling of the living prophets—the Presidents of the Church—under whom he has served. …

Listening to and hearkening to living prophets will have profound, even life-changing effects in our lives. We are strengthened. We are more assured and confident in the Lord. We hear the word of the Lord. We feel God’s love. We will know how to conduct our lives with purpose.” – Dean M. Davies (more…)

Mark 3:25 “And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

General Conference, ‘Sisters’ Participation in the Gathering of Israel,’ October 2018 “… it was our glorious Mother Eve—with her far-reaching vision of our Heavenly Father’s plan—who initiated what we call ‘‘the Fall.” Her wise and courageous choice and Adam’s supporting decision moved God’s plan of happiness forward. They made it possible for each of us to come to earth, receive a body, and prove that we would choose to stand up for Jesus Christ now, just as we did premortally.” (more…)

The lies and contradictions Russell Nelson made this past weekend were many. One thing that caught our attention was when he told members Jesus gave the Nephites specific instructions on what to name their church…

The Correct Name of the Church “It was the Savior Himself who said, “For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even earlier, in AD 34, our resurrected Lord gave similar instruction to members of His Church when He visited them in the Americas. …Thus, the name of the Church is not negotiable.” –– Russell M. Nelson, October 7, 2018 (more…)

John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

General Conference, ‘Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints, October 2018 “… the assaults of the adversary are increasing exponentially, in intensity and in variety. Our need to be in the temple on a regular basis has never been greater…  If you have reasonable access to a temple, I urge you to find a way to make an appointment regularly with the Lord—to be in His holy house—then keep that appointment with exactness and joy.” Russell M. Nelson (more…)

‘If Jesus ever gave us a command He could not enable us to fulfil, He would be a liar; and if we make our inability a barrier to obedience, it means we are telling God there is something He has not taken into account. Every element of self reliance must be slain by the power of God.’ Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, May 5th

It’s my urgent prayer the Mormon people would heed God’s call, and be saved. There are no words in the English language to efficiently describe the sorrow in my heart knowing their fate if they continue on the path they’ve trodden upon. It seems as if their leaders words become worse with time, albeit there’s little room left at the bottom of that barrel.

Today we’re looking at the Church’s incessant try at controlling the thought life of all people, as well as two talks beginning with their top apostle, Henry Eyring. His words are a mockery towards the Lord God. It’s obvious he’s proficient in biblical phrases, and has used his knowledge to lead my people to Satan’s doorstep.

Talk #5

Henry B. Eyring Try, Try, Try

Today and tomorrow we’ll be looking at a few of the talks given at the semi-annual LDS General Conference. We’ve chosen the topics based purely at what we thought seemed of greater import. The numbering system we’ve assigned to each doesn’t necessarily indicate the order in which the talk was given, rather, it’s to keep them organized for the articles. We’ve retrieved our info from the Church owned, Deseret News. At the time we gathered our info, the Church hadn’t published the transcripts of each talk.

The first item we’re looking at serves as the poster-child of why my heart will always break for the  Mormon people. Although I realize it’s not a talk, it’s noteworthy because of its content. (more…)
