 3 Nephi 20:3-7 “And it came to pass that he brake bread again and blessed it, and gave to the disciples to eat. 4 And when they had eaten he commanded them that they should break bread, and give unto the multitude. 5 And when they had given unto the multitude he also gave them wine to drink, and commanded them that they should give unto the multitude. 6 Now, there had been no bread, neither wine, brought by the disciples, neither by the multitude; 7 But he truly gave unto them bread to eat, and also wine to drink.”

God’s Secret Promised Land?

2 Nephi 10:20 “And now, my beloved brethren, seeing that our merciful God has given us so great knowledge concerning these things, let us remember him, and lay aside our sins, and not hang down our heads, for we are not cast off; nevertheless, we have been driven out of the land of our inheritance; but we have been led to a better land, for the Lord has made the sea our path, and we are upon an isle of the sea.”

Where is Zion? America, or Israel?  Zechariah 9:9a; “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee…”

Matthew 21:8-10; “And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. 10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?”

Mormon Decisions 10Today we’re taking a look at Zedekiah, Judah’s last king.  The reason we’re doing this is because of what the Book of Mormon says. There are several questionable teachings in their canon on this subject matter so I’ll be listing just one verse in my example and provide multiple verses from the Bible for you to use when witnessing to your Mormon friends/loved ones.

Let’s look at the BoM verse before we proceed. Helaman 8:21 says;

Helaman 8:21; “And now will you dispute that Jerusalem was destroyed? Will ye say that the sons of Zedekiah were not slain, all except it were Mulek? Yea, and do ye not behold that the seed of Zedekiah are with us, and they were driven out of the land of Jerusalem? But behold, this is not all—”

“The stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph”

Old-Testament-Gospel-Doctrine-Teachers-Manual-35570000In this next lesson we find ourselves in the book of Ezekiel, and another shining example the Mormon Church’s inflated ego that tells them a passage in this book is about them.

Probably one of the most well-known prophecies in Ezekiel amongst the Mormon people is found in chapter 37. In verses 15-28 Ezekiel has a prophecy of the reunion between Judah and Israel. However Mormons see it as a uniting of the Book of Mormon and the Bible. (“The stick of Judah symbolizes the Bible, and the stick of Joseph symbolizes the Book of Mormon.”)

Old-Testament-Gospel-Doctrine-Teachers-Manual-35570000The name of this lesson is “The Glory of Zion will be a Defense” and it focuses on the book of Isaiah chapters 1-6.

Working in this ministry day in and day out sometimes brings a sense of “it’s just another day at the office”. That is until.  Until the time when we encounter teachings like those I found in this lesson. It’s not often Mormon teachings stop me in my tracks like this did. After compiling my notes a chill went down my spine as I looked upon the information I had gathered.

Stick of Judah, Stick of Ephraim

Mormon Decisions 10Mormon Doctrine, pg 767; “Ezekiel, in foretelling the preparation and coming forth of the Book of Mormon, called it the stick of Ephraim, and the stick of Joseph in the hand of Ephraim. In similar imagery he called the Bible the stick of Judah. The promise was that these two records would become one stick in the Lord’s hand in the day of the gathering of Israel. (Ezek. 37:15-28.)”

Glenn Beck, the Jewish Mormon Out to Change the World

With His Mormon Centered Truths

Ed Decker

September 2011

Ever since Glenn Beck stepped out from the daily limelight on FOX TV and stopped stunning the world with his amazing insights regarding often hidden secrets of our national history and the underside of our political process; as well as his constant and ever-increasing call to challenge the hidden spiritual depths of the American Christian mindset, I have been waiting for the proverbial “other shoe” to drop.  It dropped when he turned his attention toIsrael. His trip there was not a casually planned event. It had a purpose that will shock you.
