November 17 — Adam Who is He, p. 58 “Some people have the idea that the Ten Commandments were first given by Moses when he directed the children of Israel and formulated their code of laws. This is not the case. These great commandments are from the beginning and were understood in righteous communities in the days of Adam. They are, in fact, fundamental parts of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the gospel in its fullness was first given to Adam.” (Doctrines of Salvation, 1:94-96)” – Mark E. Petersen (more…)

LDS: Blacks are Inferior

‘And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.’ Acts 17:26
September 29 — LDS: Blacks are Inferior. Race Problems–As They Affect the Church, August 27, 1954, address at CES convention at Brigham Young University, p. 15 “Think of the Negro, cursed as to the Priesthood. Are we prejudiced against him? Unjustly, sometimes we are accused of having such a prejudice. But what does the mercy of God have for him? This negro, who, in the pre-existence lived the type of life which justified the Lord in sending him to the earth in the lineage of Cain with a black skin, and possibly being born in darkest Africa if that Negro is willing when he hears the gospel to accept it, he may have many of the blessings of the gospel. In spite of all he did in the pre-existent life, the Lord is willing, if the Negro accepts the gospel with real, sincere faith, and is really converted, to give him the blessings of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. If that Negro is faithful all his days, he can and will enter the celestial kingdom. He will go there as a servant, but he will get a celestial resurrection.” – Mark E. Petersen (more…)
LDS are Servants of Corrupt Leaders

July 1 — LDS are Servants of Corrupt Leaders. 2 Peter 2:19-22 “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” (more…)
Apostle’s Bait and Switch Calling Evil Canon Good

Conference Report April 1980 p. 94 “Seduction is the greatest weapon of the devil. It is alluring; it falsely appears to be advantageous and desirable. He would have us think that bitter is sweet, that black is white, that sin is acceptable, that virtue is obsolete, archaic, and prudish.” — Mark E. Petersen
Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.
Mr. Petersen’s talk was straight from the scary files and that’s no joke. While he busied himself with warnings of how sneaky the devil can be he was the one people should’ve been concerned about.
His doomsday cometh warning would’ve been put to better use for himself and everyone in LDS leadership.
Please, pray for those who listen to messages like this. In a loving manner ask the Mormon you know what they think about the contradictions! In addition to the contradictory verses from their canon listed below he also referenced 2 Nephi 2:11 which states there has to be an opposition in all things —
“For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility.”
Oh beloved, the God of the Bible doesn’t need anything much less evil. He’s a Sovereign God! Dr. Ron Carlson used to point out this type of teaching is known as dualism which in essence is a yin-yang type of theology.
Moses 5:10-11 “And in that day Adam blessed God and was filled, and began to prophesy concerning all the families of the earth, saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my eyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God. 11 And Eve, his wife, heard all these things and was glad, saying: Were it not for our transgression we never should have had seed, and never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient.”
2 Nephi 15:20 “Wo unto them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
With Love in Christ —

Mormon Dilemma 806 Noah, aka Gabriel, Names Jesus

Noah and the Flood, pgs 1-2; “Few men in any age were as great as Noah. In many respects he was like Adam, the first man. Both had served as ministering angels in the presence of God even after their mortal experience. Adam was Michael, the archangel, but Noah was Gabriel, one of those nearest to God. Of all the hosts of heaven, he was chosen to open the Christian era by announcing to Mary that she would become the mother of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He even designated the name by which the Redeemer should be known here on earth, saying He would be the Son of God….” – Mark E.
