John 18:11-14; “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”
Eternal Marriage Student Manual, ‘Mate Selection,’ pp. 188-197
“Church Bulletin
“There is increasing evidence that some young women are being strongly encouraged to serve full-time missions. Though capable and effective, young women do not have the same responsibility to serve full-time missions as do young men who hold the priesthood. We are grateful that some desire to serve as full-time missionaries, but they should not be made to feel obligated to do so. A young woman should not be recommended for a mission if it would interfere with a specific marriage proposal” (Bulletin, 1993, no. 2, p. 2).”

Ensign, ‘Joseph Smith Among the Prophets,’ June 1994; “As suggested earlier, the life of Joseph Smith was in some degree patterned after that of his Master, Jesus Christ. That pattern holds true even when extended to its tragic conclusion. Like his Master, Joseph Smith also shed his blood in order that the final testament, the reestablishment of the new covenant, might be in full effect.” – Robert L. Millet
LDS Sunday School OT Lesson 33

The main focus of this lesson is on missionary work and how it’s the Mormon’s responsibility to share their gospel all around the world. It touches on the story of Jonah and Micah and how they are examples of Mormonism in action.
The title to the third point in their lesson caught my attention. It reads:
“Micah prophesies of the mission of latter-day Israel.”
