A distinguishing mark of the LDS Church is the teaching members must follow, and obey their prophets. This subject matter is one of the reasons I left Mormonism. I began questioning the prophets in 1978 when the Church changed its mind on the race issue. Not being able to question the reasons why, or even ask in-depth questions in Seminary got me into a fair amount of trouble.
The Way it Works
Anyone or anything that disagrees with the LDS Church is considered anti-Mormon. Yet, the Church considers themselves to be a Christian church.
