September 28 — Today, I saw online that Russell M. Nelson, who was president of the Mormon Church, had passed away. He was 101 years old and the 17th President of the Church. When I saw this today, I felt sorrow for his family. I sincerely pray for them during this time.
My heart also goes out to the members of the Mormon Church who have been led astray by his teachings. I saw a short clip from a news station that asked a young woman what she would remember most about him. To paraphrase, she responded that she would remember how he encouraged people to go to the temple. (more…)
