God was a Sinner Like Us
Discourses of Brigham Young, pg 24; “It must be that God knows something about temporal things, and has had a body and been on an earth. Were it not so, he would not know how to judge men righteously, according to the temptations and sin they have had to contend with. 4:271.”
Hebrews 4:14-15; “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
Well God has been on earth – His name is Jesus! Sadly the Mormons won’t accept this because it’s not good enough and they believe His word has been translated incorrectly. Even sadder is how they either won’t divulge or don’t know what scriptures have been mistranslated so they disregard all of them when it doesn’t align with Smith’s unfounded revelations.
The god Mr. Young is referring to is their heavenly father, Elohim. elòhiym of the Bible has never been man as the word tells us, rather the God of the Bible is spirit – John 4:24 – came to earth in the form of a man – John 1:1, 14 – and dwells inside each believer – John 14:16-26.
The God of the Bible knows only too well what suffering we go through with our sin! Proof of His understanding is found in the sacrifice of His Son so we don’t have to wallow in our former selves!
Your last paragraph would lead one to believe that you believe in not one God but two! Correct me if I’m, but if Jesus came to earth in a body, lived, died, and was resurrected but Elohim did not, then with two different sets of experience, you clearly have declard that you believe in two gods who have had two different and separate experiences. Is this what you really believe?
