New Testament Student Manual, pg 25; “In the Inspired Version, the Prophet added the following verses to the recorded account of the Savior’s youth. “And it came to pass that Jesus grew up with his brethren, and waxed strong, and waited upon the Lord for the time of his ministry to come. “And he served under his father, and he spake not as other men, neither could he be taught; for he needed not that any man should teach him.“And after many years, the hour of his ministry drew nigh.” (Matthew 3:24–26, Inspired Version.) Although the word father in this passage perhaps refers to Joseph, yet the content of the passage certainly shows that Jesus was taught by his real father, God the Father.”
Revelation 22:18; “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.”
While Mormons like to say that this verse is only pertaining to the book of Revelations they’ve cornered themselves into a position they can’t extract themselves from because Smith also rewrote the book of Revelations as well.
The truth is that John’s warning applies to the Bible. If you add to it or take away from it, God will make you pay.
