Ether 9:18-19; “And also all manner of cattle, of oxen, and cows, and of sheep, and of swine, and of goats, and also many other kinds of animals which were useful for the food of man. 19 And they also had horses, and asses, and there were elephants and cureloms and cumoms; all of which were useful unto man, and more especially the elephants and cureloms and cumoms.”
Leviticus 11:7-8; “And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.”
The story of the Jaredites sailing to America supposedly took place sometime between BC 2600-2100.
You’ll remember the Jaredites left the Tower of Babel and sailed to the “promised land” when God destroyed the tower and scattered the people.

3. There were no forms of swine on the American continent until the time of Spanish explorers. See BoM Metallurgy.
