Conference Report, Second Day Morning Session, October 1916: p 42-43; “Christianity, as it is known in the world today, has fallen far short of the accomplishment of what might have been expected of it. It has failed in establishing those principles which Christ taught among the children of men… A false doctrine is a corrupt doctrine; a false religion is a corrupt religion; a false teacher is a corrupt teacher. Any man who teaches a false doctrine, who believes in and practices and teaches a false religion is a corrupt professor, because he teaches that which is impure and not true. That is the trouble with Christianity today. It is not true…that which is known as Christianity, is the falsest of all religions in the world.” – Hyrum M. Smith
Traditional Christianity and the Latter-day Saints; “We see ourselves as a part of the larger Christian world, and we have no difficulty acknowledging that our Christian friends worship the same God we do, seek the redeeming power of the same Savior we do, and enjoy the illuminating and sanctifying influence of the same Holy Spirit we do. Now, to be sure, Latter-day Saints do believe they have something to add to the great reservoir of Christian truth in the world—important theological insights, as well as a broadened perspective on the purpose of life and the eternal destiny of individuals and families.” – Robert Millet, February 2012
Galatians 6:7-8; “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”.
Wrapping lies in a package with a new shiny bow doesn’t change its content. Inside the pretty wrapped package is a disaster waiting to happen while the venomous evil sits waiting to be poured forth.
The Church can publish eloquent essays delivered by well spoken, highly educated men and near the end of every speech they give the message is the same. The LDS Church considers Christianity to be ‘the whore of Babylon’. 1 Nephi 14:10.
Not only is their brand of the gospel heretical, they’ve also proven themselves to be false teachers by contradicting themselves! Deut 18:20-22.
We have to wonder…what would Joseph Smith have to say about Millet’s diatribe? Smith emphatically declared the God of Christianity is not the god of Mormonism. Joe’s god is an exalted man who became a god of his own earth and the entire reason he started Mormonism is because he didn’t want to accept the God of the Bible.
Yes, contradictory and deceiving, especially to those who have had little contact with Christian churches and the Bible. The LDS now figures that “if you can’t beat them, join them” OUTWARDLY. They’ve changed their public stance to deceive even some Christian groups.
But nothing in the LDS doctrine has changed; it’s still the old wolf in sheep ‘s clothing. Since they don’t know the God of the Bible, they cannot say that they worship the same God as Christians; they never met the real Tribune God of Christianity.
The answer, of course, is the KNOW the Bible and read, reread it all the time. Plainly, the satanic deceit will be seen then in the LDS doctrine, essays, etc.
