General Conference Report, “The Origin of Man,” p 18; “In origin, man is a son of God. The spirits of men “are begotten sons and daughters unto God” (D&C 76:24). Through that birth process, self-existing intelligence was organized into individual spirit beings”. – Marion G. Romney, September 30, 1978
Doctrine and Covenants 76:24; “That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.”
Colossians 1:16; “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him”.
John 1:3; “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made”.
Romans 11:36; “For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen”.
Today we have a couple of things to look at!
1.According to dictionary.com the definition of self-existing means existing independently of any other being or cause.
How can someone who is born via means of an exalted man-god be self existent if he needed the man-god to beget him?
2.Take notice of Joseph Smith’s revelation in D&C 76:24. The wording is eerily similar to that of God’s word. They do this to confuse so don’t be fooled! Using biblical phrases and tweaking them offered Joe the ability to lead people astray.
If you’re LDS have you ever thought about the similarities between the Mormon canon and the Bible? Why are they so similar?
If the Bible was written before LDS canon have you ever thought that maybe something was fishy?
