January 24 – Aside from the perfect announcement that God came in human flesh to pay the price for sin, the New Testament is mainly about the doctrines of God. In it we find how to conduct ourselves even through the simple structure of church life. 1 Tim. 3:12 says; “let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well”.

Clearly, this message from Paul is not meant for children. Yet, it is the practice of the Mormon Church to have 12 year old boys serve as deacons of their church.

“They are assigned to passing the sacrament, perform messenger services, act as ushers, keep church facilities in good repair, go home teaching, and perform special assignments at the direction of the bishopric”. Mormon Doctrine, pg. 183.

All men’s blood has crossed and we are brothers. All women are sisters who over thousands of
years have covered the globe and now reach beyond the clouds.
From the palest skin to the darkest, all are one.
Do for others as you would have them do for you and you will find happiness.
