Alma 46:15; “And those who did belong to the church were faithful; yea, all
those who were true believers in Christ took upon them, gladly, the name of Christ, or Christians as they were called, because of their belief in Christ who should come.”
Acts 11:26; “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
Titus 3:5; “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost”.
Today we’re wondering why Mormons don’t question the writings in their own canon.
By and large, the Mormon people are quite intelligent so we’re questioning why they don’t think there’s something wrong with the passage in Alma. This Book of Mormon incident supposedly took place in BC 73, and just like the dilemma we saw yesterday, the chronological events are out of sync.
The acceptance of the lie here reflects other aspects of their vocabulary as well, and Titus 3:5 serves as yet another example of this.
Why don’t Mormons use the phrase ‘I was saved’? Their vocabulary is bereft of Christian terminology which reveals the true story with Mormonism. The LDS Church isn’t a Christian organization.
