Fiftieth Annual Conference Report of the Mormon Church, 1880, pp. 86-87; “…a new witness that the Lord seems to have brought
to light, by the opening of the Great Pyramid of Egypt. There seems to be a prophetic spirit running through the construction of all that cast superstructure, pointing forward to the very end. Allowing one year to a cubit inch the generation that will close up the times of the Gentiles.” – Orson Pratt
Isaiah 31:1; “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!”
Why is the Mormon Church looking for evidence of their false prophecies from a country who didn’t worship God?
Additionally, why are they turning to Egypt when the inhabitants there aren’t white and delightsome?
Where is the evidence from any of the Egyptian pyramids this claim of Mr. Pratt’s is true?
Is this prophecy something the LDS Church would hold onto today?
