September 7 – Needless worry. Matthew 6:31-32; “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

Brigham’s ‘advice’ didn’t last forever. In the mid 1980’s the Church had a change of heart and advised members to keep a food storage for three months instead of three years. I grew up on the three year plan and vividly recall helping my mother rotate the large buckets of rice and beans on a regular basis.
Ask the Mormon for their opinion on the Church’s change of heart.
Also ask if it bothers them that Nephi plagiarized Jesus.

3 Nephi 13:31; “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?”
Journal of Discourses 3:196; “We never ought to be without three or five years provisions on hand. But when you see men run to hell to sell a bushel of wheat for sixty cents, instead of laying it up in their granaries for a day of scarcity, you are forced to conclude that they would trade with the very devil, to get his coat and shoes in exchange for their wheat.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, January 27, 1856
And plagiarized the King James to boot – which was translated long after the “sacred Mormon” texts were supposedly given around 600 B.C.!!!!!!!
I’ve often thought those Nephite people should’ve had a travel agency to make extra money because it sure seems like they would’ve had to go back and forth a lot to keep updated with the latest Jerusalem news…
