2 Timothy 3:15; “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
The ‘age-old myth’ Mr. Nelson was referring to was perpetrated by none other than the man Nelson claims came along to ‘shatter’ it. Don’t let this man trick you into believing God had stopped talking to people! He speaks to us through His word!
Joseph Smith touted on about his mistrust of the Lord and it sits emblazoned in the Church’s canon in his own testimony JS History 1:19. It’s what drives the Church today and without it, there would be no Mormonism. Other Mormon leaders (George Cannon) picked up the same torch, telling people Christianity is devoid of power.
They’ve lied about this so they could introduce still another lie. The unsuspecting Mormon has to rely upon a prophet to hear from the Lord. This is a devastating predicament they’ve unknowingly placed themselves in!
Mr. Nelson also said that prophets have always been around. This isn’t true! And they certainly weren’t around in Adam’s day.
Our question for today:
Is sustaining the prophets more important than telling the truth about God?
Pray our Lord will open their eyes of discernment and come to a saving knowledge of His grace and mercy!
I really appreciate your work. I have recently started getting the LDS Daily. I am an EX Mormon. I can hardly believe what I see now, even though it’s always been there! I am a Christian who reads the bible now. I have decided to leave comments on the articles. The first comment I made was removed. It was true, therefore it contradicted what they had written. May I suggest that others do that too? Thank you!
Hi Betsy! PTL you’ve been set free!!! This is awesome news! A volunteer here at LAM does exactly what you’ve done. She goes on the various LDS websites and comments about Jesus, but alas, she too has seen her comments removed as well. The good thing is that someone saw it! 🙂
