March 23 – John 1:18; “No man hath seen God at any time…the Only Begotten Son hath declared Him”.

The whole Mormon story depends on what or whom Joseph Smith talked to in the grove of trees. He claims it was God the Father and His Son. In light of the above verse, one has to wonder.

P.S. There is no wonderment as to “what” Joseph Smith saw. If he saw anything at all he saw something along the lines of what King Saul saw when he tried to talk to Samuel the prophet.
I couldn’t agree more!
1 Samuel 28:9-13 says;
“And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
10 And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
13 And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.”
Ironically, Mormons call their Heavenly Father by the Hebrew term “elohim”. There are 3 meanings for elohim – the fullness or deity of God; pagan gods; and/or kings and rulers.
The word “gods” in this passage is an example of “elohim” in the Hebrew.
Since the Mormons do not believe in the Trinity we are only left with one conclusion as to whom they worship.
Pray they will see the connection with this!
