September 10 – 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Yes! We beg the Mormons to accept the free gift of grace that God has bestowed upon us through His Son, Jesus Christ! It’s about the grace! Show your friend how their own books proclaim this as well. It’s a shame they don’t even believe it.

2 Nephi 2:7-8; “Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered. Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.”
Hi there, I am so confused about religion right now. I am a convert to the Mormon church but have always had doubts. The main one being that my RM fiancé (now ex-husband) refused to marry me in the temple – even after a year – and all our children are born out of the covenant. Obviously, you know what that means according to Mormon beliefs. Forget me ever living with them in the next life. The second thing that’s always bothered me is Joseph Smith. I hadn’t even read about all his wives (including young teens and married women), the different accountings of the First Vision, the discrepancies/changes made to the the BOM…to name a few, until recently. It just worried me that a prophet is so revered and talked about…more so sometimes than even Jesus Christ. Is it The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or The Church of Joseph Smith of…etc. ? I guess the third, and probably biggest issue I’ve always had is the Mormon’s belief that we have to earn our spot in heaven. And boy, do they make you earn it. What happened to GRACE? Obviously we must keep the commandments and follow our Savior’s example of loving each other, being kind and decent, etc…but the pressure of being a Mormon, especially a Mormon woman is terrible. I know you understand how I’m feeling. I feel like I’ll be struck down if I remove my Temple garments (I’ll be under Satan’s power), or if I even think about leaving. I just want a better relationship with Jesus. I want him to be happy with my choices and progress in life. My spouse is a die hard, true blue Mormon, and is firm about it. He told me he’d read the “CES Letter” with me with an open mind, but I feel so alone. And, UNHAPPY. Thanks for listening.

Dear Sara –
Hi, my name is Michelle Grim. I wanted you to know we’re praying for you my dear.
I can tell you I have more than a few volunteers here at the ministry who are ex-Mormon Christians, and Christians who’ve never been Mormon and they’ll be praying heartily for you
I’m going to address a couple of the things in your note but i’m sure I’ll forget some too – that doesn’t mean I’ve ignored them! 🙂
1.Your garments.
Darlin’, I want you to remember something the Lord showed me years ago when I left Mormonism. Although I wasn’t temple worthy when I left, and din’t wear garments, the heavy burden of wearing layers and layers of clothing to protect myself was daunting. The constant self loathing and worry I wasn’t doing enough for my salvation was a burden every moment of every day.
After I left and accepted the Lord, He gave me a simple message I share with many people in and out of Mormonism.
Guilt and shame are never the same. It rhymes and easy to remember.
Guilt and God both begin with a ‘G’. God convicts us of our sin – this is guilt. When we repent, He remembers it no more.
Isaiah 43:25
https://biblia.com/books/kjv1900/Is43.25
Shame and Satan both begin with an ‘S”. Satan likes to degrade, he’s the father of lies. He’ll remind you of your guilt over and over again. This is shame, and NOT from God. It leads to death of your soul. Jesus came to seek and save that which is lost – not destroy. Luke 19:10.
Don’t forget Isaiah 43:25!
2. I can tell you right this moment Jesus does love you! I’ve always said if Jesus saved me, He’ll save anyone. If you’re wanting a better relationship with Jesus, this is probably the Lord trying to get your attention and give you a heads up.
It’s not uncommon at all for people to desire a better relationship w/ Jesus.God’s Holy Spirit prompts us to seek Him and we do so thru study, and/or reaching out to believers.
Unfortunately many false teachers have tricked people into believing they can only do such a thing thru obedience to the voice and instructions of a self-proclaimed prophet – aka Joe Smith and the subsequent LDS leaders.
3.Have faith Jesus can reach your husband too! When I accepted the Lord, I was so afraid my husband would leave, or just outright reject the Lord. He was hesitant at first, but I continued to pray hard and after awhile he too, became a Christian.
He now helps lead missions to Spain, and Morocco, as well as Nicaragua. You might be surprised at what your husband will do! I continued to believe God would change my husband, and thru His grace, and watching how Jesus changed me, Kirk came around! 🙂
4.The lies about Joe Smith’s 1st vision, the girls he bedded down with, and the lie you have to be married in the temple are overwhelming aren’t they?
We’ve discovered there isn’t one single Mormon doctrine that is biblical. Everything they’ve taught is an outright lie.
We could go on and on as I’m sure you’re aware!
Before this turns into a novel, I’ll stop for now!

1 Corinthians 1:18
Hi Sara, you came to the right place. If you haven’t already called Michelle, please do. She knows her stuff
Be thankful you weren’t married in the temple. There’s no such thing as forever families, because of things like divorce and apostasy, God can’t make promises he can’t keep.
I’m glad you read the CES letter. Very well written It’s a great example of how the lds church treats people who have questions and concerns…SHAMEFUL.
I’ve read Galatians 4 X in 2 days.(now I know why.) It’s a short letter to the Galatians from Paul. After being set free in Christ, the Galatians seemed still willing to submit themselves to the bondage of the “law”. Paul pleaded with them over and over again. He says, did you receive the Holy Spirit from Moses, or Jesus? It’s not about works cause there is nothing we can do. Christ did it ALL. Please take a few minutes to read Galatians…it won’t take long.
It’s not by accident you found this site . Let Michelle help you OK. Hang in there. And I’ll be praying for you too.
In sincere prayer, Melissa

Sara,
You are invited to watch,”UNVEILING GRACE”. A BYU professor, family, and friends tell of God’s love and His grace for you. They each met the Real Jesus and left Mormonism along with the fear. God be with you, and your husband, too during your journey.
