October 9 –– The Voices We Listen To John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”.
_____
The rapid advances of technology has been a blessing and a curse. Sometimes we have too much white noise playing in our heads which has the ability to drown out what we should be listening to, and that’s Jesus. Going back to the basics of focusing on His words is a good reminder to follow Him exclusively so we’re not following voices that change with the wind.
The words of the LDS apostle should be a warning to any true believer that something is amiss. The Savior has never changed His paths, nor has He changed any of the doctrines God has laid before us since the beginning of time. This apostle has said the words of their savior is for them at this time. Will it be that way tomorrow?

“The teachings of general conference are the considerations the Lord would have before us now and in the months ahead. The shepherd “goeth before [his sheep], and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.” Often His voice directs us to change something in our lives. He invites us to repent. He invites us to follow Him.” — Neil L. Andersen, “The Voice of the Lord”
