Are you zealous for Him? Malachi 3:1b; “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Mark 11:15-16; “And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.”

Sudden appearance at the temple … John the Baptist, like Elijah, also dressed in camel hair and was zealous for God. He was well accepted as a prophet of God, yet when he preached repentance and announced the long awaited Messiah had arrived, he was harassed by the elders and eventually beheaded for his message. Malachi warned them about John the Baptists’ arrival and Jesus’ as well, but pride got in the way. The prestige of who the Pharisees thought they were held more weight than their concern about God’s view of them.
On this side of the cross believers know His Spirit has taken up residence inside of His new temple, meaning He resides inside of us. Are we willing to have Jesus take inventory, and toss the garbage overshadowing His glory? We’ve had plenty of warning. The OT prophets and the NT writings all point to His return. Are you zealous for Him?
Mormons live like they’ve either missed, or ignored the memo. They refuse to bow in solemn reverence, or even acknowledge the events of Holy Week. Neither will they accept the fact only Jesus had the authority to do what He did because He is God.

Doctrines of Salvation 1:236; “SAINTS ARE THE BEST PEOPLE. We are, notwithstanding our weaknesses, the best people in the world. I do not say that boastingly, for I believe that this truth is evident to all who are willing to observe for themselves. We are morally clean, in every way equal, and in many ways superior to any other people.” – Joseph Fielding Smith
I have kind of a rhetorical question…can’t you “purchase” garments etc. at the Lds temple?
Yes, and isn’t it sad t\hey don’t see this?
Remember, when they’re asked about things like this, many times they’ll say the Bible has been translated incorrectly.
Don’t be surprised if/when they may use this excuse.
