June 3 – Pre-existence is the Mormon version of reincarnation. 1 Cor. 15:46-47; “Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

There is no plainer discourse about the pre-existence than what Brigham Young said in today’s lesson. As you’ll see, he’s not elusive about the theory as Smith was in the book of Moses. Remember, the Mormon’s theory of the pre-existence is no different than re-incarnation.

“There is not a person here to-day but what is a son or a daughter of the Being. In the spirit world their spirits were first begotten and brought forth, and they lived there with their parents for ages before they came here. This, perhaps, is hard for many to believe, but it is the greatest nonsense in the world not to believe it. If you do not believe it, cease to call him Father; and when you pray, pray to some other character.” – Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses 4:216.
When someone has to follow up what they’ve said by saying…”this, perhaps, is hard for many to believe”. Because it probably is.
Too funny!
So then, every marriage in the world is incestuous, since everyone are brothers and sisters in pre-existence. And their god has sex with his own daughter to provide a body for their Jesus.
Sad but true. And they wonder why Utah has such a high rate of suicide…ugh..
