September 24 – Saved Sinner. Mark 2:17 “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but
they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
_____
When you have the opportunity, ask your Mormon friend if they believe they’re a sinner. Most Mormons don’t like this term and feel it’s too harsh to refer to someone like that. Also ask why Moroni plagiarized Jesus and the Apostle Mark.
_____
Moroni 8:8 “Listen to the words of Christ, your Redeemer, your Lord and your God. Behold, I came into the world not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance; the whole need no physician, but they that are sick; wherefore, little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin; wherefore the curse of Adam is taken from them in me, that it hath no power over them; and the law of circumcision is done away in me.”
Mormons do not believe that the Blood of Jesus is sufficient to wash away sins. The suffering, the pain, the bleeding that he did on the cross is not that major a dea to Mormons. According to Mormons, you also have to work (serve the church) to be saved. Also, according to the Mormon Journal of Discourses, Volume 9, page 312, salvation also requires confessing Joseph Smith as God’s chosen Latter Day Prophet.
“They that are whole have no need of the physician”.
Next time you go to the temple, I want you to remember this verse, Mark 2:17.
Please think about this…if you’re “Worthy” why would you need Jesus? Jesus came to save sinners. So if you’re temple worthy, that means you’ve been deemed worthy enough to enter the temple by your bishop/stake president. You’ve either did what you’re supposed to do, or you lied.
If you’re “Worthy” to enter the “house of the lord” then why would you need Jesus?
