October 19 – Taylor’s Lack of Confidence in Jesus. Hebrews 13:5-6; “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

Third President of the Church John Taylor Served from 1880–1887
Mr. Taylor had many things to say about the body of Christ, but the body of Christ is still here and operating just as God had originally designed them to do. I will always be so grateful for the promise Jesus made to us! What a joy it is knowing there are other believers all around. Even though the world is getting way past ‘out of hand’, knowing God’s Spirit is here with us is immensely comforting.
Each time I look out at an audience I’m speaking to, I’m looking at a room full of miracles! Look at what He’s done my friends! Even as you/I go to church and worship with other Christians, you’re witnessing God’s sovereignty in action. This is SO COOL!
Mr. Taylor accused the church of knowing ‘nothing’. I may not be a rocket scientist, but what I do know as a Christian is how to study my Bible. The Hebrew word for fools is “nabal” which means stupid. See Ps. 14:1. What I also know as a Christian is that He will never leave nor forsake me as it says in Hebrews. So, who’s telling the lie? Share with the Mormon you know that each believer is a sign from God of the promise He made.

Journal of Discourses 13:225; “What does the Christian world know about God? Nothing . . . Why so far as the things of God are concerned, they are the veriest fools; they know neither God nor the things of God.” – John Taylor, Salt Lake City, May 6, 1870
The words coming forth from church leaders, are one of the many things that are driving people away from church. Church leaders, both past and present, are boring, unenthusiastic speakers, that are boring and unenthusiastic, because they don’t have God’s spirit in them. The more these guys speak, the more disgusted people become. last time I watched GC several years ago, I actually took out a stopwatch to see how long it would take Pres Eyring to start tearing up. Eighteen (18) seconds. I get sick watching these guys tearing up at the mere mention of the work Jesus or Holy Spirit. These tears are not brought about from any emotional impact the spirit has had on them. These tears are simply learned behavior. The more you cry, the more holy you are
This is just another of many anti-Christian tirades, and yet the LDS say they never speak against Christians.
