The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, pp. 455-456 “There are other spectacular revelations mentioned. …. Then came John the Baptist who had been beheaded by the king in a moment of weakness… [then] Peter, James and John now resurrected. So there came, step by step, a restoration of everything, and it all came by revelation, by vision, by dreams, or by deep impression.
So revelation came: sometimes with actual personal appearance of heavenly beings…. But most of the revelations of the Prophet Joseph Smith in this holy record, the Doctrine and Covenants, did not come in that manner. They came as deep impressions.” — Spencer W. Kimball [emp. added]
Doctrine and Covenants 7:1-3 “And the Lord said unto me: John, my beloved, what desirest thou? For if you shall ask what you will, it shall be granted unto you. 2 And I said unto him: Lord, give unto me power over death, that I may live and bring souls unto thee. 3 And the Lord said unto me: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, because thou desirest this thou shalt tarry until I come in my glory, and shalt prophesy before nations, kindreds, tongues and people.”
John 21:21-23 “Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? 22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. 23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?”
Today’s LDS references are examples of how this church goes out of its way to confuse!
1. They took part of a passage from John, and turned it into something that never happened. Sigh…
2. The reference from Kimball’s teachings is just one of many where church authorities have stated that the Apostle John was resurrected.
3. If John never died like Smith claimed in D&C 7, how could he be resurrected?
You can read more info about this, and on the true history of Christianity in our article, ‘Complete Apostasy?’
Members of the Church obviously need the true salvation that can only be found in Christ Jesus and Him crucified. Please, pray for the LDS people to turn to Him!
With Love in Christ;

More and Mormons are tired of all the confusion and contradictions. Last weekend, my son came into town from Sarasota for a business meeting.He met up with three of his old childhood friends at one of the Scottsdale resorts for a reunion and time of celebration. They invited me to join them. All of these guys were very active in the Mormon church growing up. Anyway, Saturday afternoon we were all sitting around the pool (it was 75 degrees in February). We got to talking about the church. I mentioned to the guys that I had left the church. I was somewhat surprised when all of them admitted that they had also left the church. According to them, many people they know are also leaving the LDS church. Why? Because they got tired of all the lies, rules, contradictions, expectations, etc. One of the common denominators that all of us had in our decision(s) to leave the church, was the Internet, to include sites like “Life After Ministry”.. God is at work these days and he is going to bring down those that claim to be His followers, but are in fact, wolves in sheeps clothing
“You are like whitewashed tombs, which look and beautiful on the outside , but on the inside are full of bones of the dead and everything unclean..in the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous, but on the inside, you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness,.” (Matthew 23:127,28)
Yeah…isn’t it odd soldiermp, that none of the past presidents (pre-internet) ever had any kind of prophecy, vision or revelation about the internet.
God’s was never worried about the internet when it came His truth. In fact the internet has probably been helpful in sharing His truth; and bringing people to Christ. You can access the entire Bible in an app. You can also access the digitized dead sea scrolls, originals, early copies, masoretes. It’s amazing.
Don’t be bragging about the weather… Michelle is having a bad winter 😀.
Arizona is the only place I’ve been where you can lay out by the pool on Christmas Day and get a sun tan
