February 24 – Mormons Baptize Children Who Can’t Sin. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. Romans 3:23.
_____
Not one Mormon believes that children can sin. Yet, they baptize at the age of eight to be cleansed from their sins, because this is when they believe you become accountable for your actions. Have a Mormon try to explain away a two-year-old child’s behavior. Also ask in a loving manner, why they’d have to be baptized for a remission of sins if they were perfect up until that time.
_____
D&C 29:47-48 “Wherefore, they cannot sin, for power is not given unto Satan to tempt little children, until they begin to become accountable before me; For it is given unto them even as I will, according to mine own pleasure, that great things may be required at the hands of their fathers”.
If this was heavenly Father plan, why wasn’t Jesus baptized and 8?
We are ALL born sinners.
If you have children getting ready to be baptized, DO NOT leave them alone with the bishop behind closed doors to be asked inappropriate questions. A parent has every right to be there. By law now, the pediatrician or teacher/principal etc… aren’t allowed to be alone with children.
Right now the church has pulled 400,000 kids from the Boy Scouts of America amid the sexual abuse allegations. Makes one wonder why the church now wants to distance themselves from BSA. Could it be that maybe it’s because many of these allegations are against Scout leaders who happen to be members of the LDS church including bishops?
i have recently heard the Boy Scouts are now being sued for millions of dollars by parents who (allegedly) had their sons sexually abused while serving as scouts. This law suit is an open invitation for any parent who had sons involved in the scouting program, even as long as 20 or more years ago.
I wonder what the church is gonna do if some some LDS parents file a law suit against LDS chapters of the scouts. Will the church have to pay or will it all be on the BSA?
What are the odds…the Church pulled out of the Scouting Program just before the law suits started rolling in?
In my old ward and stake, they still have the scouting program. In fact, I just received a letter requesting a donation to the BSA (Grand Canyon Council) for their Flag Program. That is where they place an American flag (w/pole) on front yards throughout the neighborhoods
