‘How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?’ Hebrews 9:14
General Conference, ‘The Great Plan’ April 2020 “The restored gospel of Jesus Christ gives us a unique perspective on the subjects of chastity, marriage, and the bearing of children.
It teaches that marriage according to God’s plan is necessary for accomplishing the purpose of God’s plan, to provide the divinely appointed setting for mortal birth, and to prepare family members for eternal life.” — Dallin Oaks
Galatians 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
After hearing news that new believers in Galatia had allowed false teachers to come in and teach heresy, Paul wrote them an impassioned letter.
He asked new believers if they’d already forgotten what they experienced when Jesus was crucified. Many in the church had already been tricked into believing they had to work for salvation. In this case, they were being told they had to be circumcised to prove their conversion. Yikes!
As you might imagine, Paul was flabbergasted when he heard the news. He used his own life as an example of what they must do to believe.
The requirement?
Faith.
He provided a simple test by having believers remember the sequence of their own life events when they first believed.
Had they accepted salvation based on what they must still do, or what Jesus had already done? Galatians 3:5-7
In my bible study of Galatians, the pastor shared points of an interesting perspective from a counselor of a prison ministry. The counselor said the hardest thing for a newly released prisoner to do is live a life of freedom. They’re used to being told what to do, and when to do it, each and every day. The adjustment of freedom is a hard concept for them to grasp. They have to learn there’s a huge difference between being set free, and living free.
So it is with new believers, and especially those in Galatia. Their entire lives had been programmed to do works for salvation. Now they were free in Christ! Paul even had to confront Peter on this issue (Gal. 2:11).
In our LDS reference today, not only have Mormons been lied to about this topic, the Church has also threw some damnable heresies into the mix.
We have to ask:
How much more blood did Jesus need to spill to exonerate them from their manmade laws? When is enough, really enough, as it says in Hebrews 9:14?
Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”

I was listening to John Dehlin, and he was reading comments on Facebook, and the Elders are in full force. And more people are home and have time to meet.
The Elders could be asymptomatic and pass the virus to an older person. It’s strange…some parents want their kids home from their mission, and some think they should stick it out.
Also, people were saying that they’re still doing temple work. SMH😔
Their prophet should be telling them to stay home if the local officials are telling them to stay home.
The Mormon prophet is supposed to be the only Living Prophet in the World today. How come most people on earth have never heard his name?
