Phil 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

As you can imagine life is much less complicated when we take our direction from the Lord and rest on the simple instead of having dreams of the grandiose. According to the Smithsonian in the late ‘pre-historic times’, the Andean region and southern Mexico had some gold and silver but certainly not iron. Ask your Mormon friend why Smith would use the term iron if it wasn’t available to those people at that time. Anyone can write to the Smithsonian Institute of Natural History to ask them for documentation about the Book of Mormon.
