ChurchNews.com “President Nelson told listeners to “please listen carefully to what I am about to say. God does not love one race more than another. His doctrine on this matter is clear. He invites all to come unto Him, ‘black and white, bond and free, male and female’ (2 Nephi 26:33). I assure you that your standing before God is not determined by the color of your skin. Favor or disfavor with God is dependent upon your devotion to God and His commandments, and not the color of your skin.”
DeseretNews.com “President Nelson encouraged regular immersion in the Book of Mormon: “No other book testifies of Jesus Christ with such power and clarity. Its prophets, as inspired by the Lord, saw our day, and selected the doctrine and truths that would help us most. The Book of Mormon is our latter-day survival guide.”
Acts 17:26 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation”.
Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Mr. Nelson’s talk was a typical contradiction that members are expected to blindly believe, and obey.
The Church is at a crossroads right now with recent events taking place in the U.S. Their god doesn’t love all races, and one of the best places to see this in action is found in the BoM.
2 Nephi 5:21 “And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.”
Instead of guiding people to read a racist gospel, the prophet had the choice of telling people about another time in history that lived through political unrest coupled with racism. It happened in Israel, c. 30 AD.
In that setting, we see Jesus at Jacob’s well with a Samaritan woman. The woman was shocked an Israelite would speak to her because of racial divisions, but Jesus was undeterred. He told her of the water that gives eternal life —
John 4:13-14 “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Our use of the passage above serves a twofold purpose. It’s a reminder that water was a symbol of eternal life, and it shows how Jesus immersed Himself in a culture not His own. He came to save, and also break down the walls of separation caused by racism.
It just so happens I’m in the middle of a study on the gospel of John with Dr. Tony Evans, and the two examples we’ve seen here by these men couldn’t be more different. One is truth, the other a lie.
Oh beloved, we pray diligently you draw from the well of information that gives eternal life in Him! The only way to get this is through His word – not the false gospel from the BoM.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
So according to President Nelson God is not racist. Well I wrote an article demonstrating conclusively that the Mormon God is definitely racist. Aside from teachings by prominent leaders of the church, I also cite the LDS book, “Mormonism and the Negro.” This was a book published by the request of the LDS and is about as racist as it gets.

AMEM thank you Michelle.Wow Glenn thank you… it’s so racist, I don’t know how they can defend this.
Today I received a comment on my post about LDS racism; the commenter stated the information I posted was not LDS Doctrine. That’s what you call denial.
