“And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” Acts 17:26

It goes without saying the Church’s focus wasn’t solely on Jesus Christ at their last conference. We’ve highlighted a number of their talks you can see at General Conferences.

Today our topic is focused on the speakers at the General Conference. Of the thirty speakers, eleven were non-white and it reminded me of an article we wrote a few years back listing racist LDS scriptures. For more info see Racist Mormon Scriptures.

I pray the reason I’ve pointed this out today is clear. My heart is broken that anyone would be tricked into believing the falsehoods of Mormonism. That in itself is bad enough.

Compounding the problem is the race issue. It’d be a gross understatement to say that I’m horrified each time I hear of a non-white person joining the Church. (more…)

Acts 17:26 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…”

Today we’re looking at two events I pray will collide and in doing so, change what we know as Mormonism. Let me explain…

Last week the LDS Church announced they’re making plans to work with the NAACP . You could’ve knocked me over with a feather when I read that one! They have big plans to help achieve education and job goals as they work alongside their new found friends. The second event was also launched last week, this time by my good friends, Lee and Kathy Baker. They’ve set up a campaign for people to sign their petition, Remove the Racist Statements from the Book of Mormon. (more…)
