“And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” Acts 17:26

It goes without saying the Church’s focus wasn’t solely on Jesus Christ at their last conference. We’ve highlighted a number of their talks you can see at General Conferences.

Today our topic is focused on the speakers at the General Conference. Of the thirty speakers, eleven were non-white and it reminded me of an article we wrote a few years back listing racist LDS scriptures. For more info see Racist Mormon Scriptures.

I pray the reason I’ve pointed this out today is clear. My heart is broken that anyone would be tricked into believing the falsehoods of Mormonism. That in itself is bad enough.

Compounding the problem is the race issue. It’d be a gross understatement to say that I’m horrified each time I hear of a non-white person joining the Church. (more…)

“To Confirm and Inform: A Blessing of Higher Education,” March 11, 2008, BYU Devotional “Have you ever wondered why you were born where and when you were born? Why were you not born 500 years ago in some primitive aboriginal culture in some isolated corner of the world? Is the timing and placing of our birth capricious? For Latter-day Saints, the answer is no. Fundamental to our faith is the understanding that before we came to this earth we lived in a premortal existence with a loving Heavenly Father. We further understand that in that premortal state we had agency and that we grew and developed as we used that agency. Some, as Abraham learned, became noble and great ones. We believe that when it came time for us to experience mortality, a loving Heavenly Father, who knows each of us well, sent us to earth at the time and in the place and in circumstances that would best help us reach our divine potential and help Him maximize His harvest of redeemed souls” — Terry Ball, Dean of Religious Education (more…)

Racism in Mormon ChurchIn my quest to get things organized I created another research page.  I pray it’ll be of use and another easy access point for gathering the info you need.   We have a total of over 300 pages filled with roughly 2,800 articles on everything Mormon.   Remembering where I put every article is becoming more of an issue so I’m gathering by category and putting them on the sidebar.  I’ve been blessed with a good memory, but….

So hang a right over to the sidebar and look for the logo you see with this post and it’ll have all our info on this horrible problem in the Mormon Church or you can just access it here.

The past couple of years have proven themselves to be very busy here at LAM and not wanting the helpful articles and info people write in to share w/ us and our readers I’m aiming to take control of my chaotic mess!  😉  So check it out when you need a reference on racism in Mormonism and who said what, when.

AND, if you’re one of our beautiful authors, researchers, prayer partners or contributors – THANK YOU!!!!!!!!  We couldn’t do this without you!

With Love in Christ;

1 Cor 1:18
