November 8 — Trusting in Religion with No Absolutes. Dan. 10:5-6; “Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: 6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.”
Rev. 1:13-16; “And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.”

Daniel was still in Babylon when he had this dream. The picture on the upper left is the Ishtar Gate which was a small section from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Today it’s located at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. It’s but a sample of the environment Daniel lived in while held in captivity in Babylon (modern day Iraq). For a moment today, put yourself in the scenario Daniel lived through.
I’m 5’9”, and its presence when I stood in front of the Hanging Gardens in 1986, made me feel like a small child. Image on the right was taken during the excavation process of Babylon in 1932. It’s nothing short of a miracle we have the blessing of seeing these things today!
We live day in and day out, just putzin’ along, but do we stop to think of what we’ll see at the end? While we’re living to see the descriptions mentioned today in His word, Mormons are living to become gods.
Ask your Mormon friend what they believe they’ll see at the end, and if it squares with what we’ve read here. The desperateness in a Mormon’s heart is overwhelming. Even the new ex-Mormon I spoke with today sounded exhausted, and it’s a result of the wishy-washy doctrines of Mormonism where nothing is absolute, just like the kingdom Nebuchadnezzar was trying to build in Babylon.
Notice what Smith said below – ‘if we’re not gathered…with our great love for the bible…we cannot be saved…’. Why would he say this when they don’t love the Bible?

History of the Church, 2:52; “Take away the Book of Mormon and the revelations, and where is our religion? We have none; for without Zion, and a place of deliverance, we must fall; because the time is near when the sun will be darkened, and the moon turn to blood, and the stars fall from heaven, and the earth reel to and fro. Then, if this is the case, and if we are not sanctified and gathered to the places God has appointed, with all our former professions and our great love for the Bible, we must fall; we cannot stand; we cannot be saved; for God will gather out His Saints from the Gentiles, and then comes desolation and destruction, and none can escape except the pure in heart who are gathered.” – Joseph Smith, Jr.
Mormons becoming Gods? If the Mormons read their Bibles and not just Doctrines and Covenants, they would know that there is only ONE TRUE GOD and ONLY ONE SAVIOR (John 17:3; 1 Timothy 2:5)
