December 12 — God Never Hides Truth. Psalm 40:9-10 “I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. 10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.”
Luke 4:16-21 “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

The passage in Luke has to be one of the most incredible events in the Bible. A thousand years before sweet Jesus stood in the synagogue announcing He was the fulfillment of God’s promise, David wrote Psalm 40. This promise reminds us God doesn’t hide things, and neither should we, when we’re telling others about the Lord.
Unfortunately, this message was either forgotten, or ignored, in Mormonism. Aside from the secret temple ceremonies, we’ve written about this in a few articles. See Don’t Share Gospel with Black Slaves — Joe Smith announced this false ‘prophecy’ while living in Kirtland, OH, on August 17, 1835.
Lying About Polygamy — Hyrum Smith lied about the Church’s practice of polygamy. At the time he made the statement (March 1844), he had five wives, and LDS Leaders Who Admit Mormonism Isn’t True.
Adding insult to injury, the Church’s missionary manual didn’t shy away from instructing its young people to hide the truth about their beliefs.
If you’re LDS, what are your thoughts about this?

Mormon Dilemma 77 Lying for the Lord Preach My Gospel, p. 50 “When first teaching this doctrine, do not teach everything you know about it. Explain very simply that God chose two of His children, Adam and Eve, to become the first parents on earth. After their transgression they were subject to both sin and death. By themselves they could not return to live with Heavenly Father. The Lord spoke to Adam and taught him the plan of salvation and redemption through the Lord Jesus Christ. By following that plan, Adam and his family could have joy in this life and return to live with God (See Alma 18:36; 22:12-14).”
It was their lying and covering up some of their more embarrassing doctrine which led me to accept their belief system and be baptized into the Mormon Faith. It was over a year later that I discovered by accident that their God had sex with Mary and that led me to do a lot of research and discover more and more of their “don’t tell” doctrines. This led me to many discussions back and forth with leadership continually lying to me about what they teach to where I finally realized I had been suckered into a cult and disavowed my LDS membership.
