The three talk summaries we’re looking at today are enough to show the fallacies in LDS theology. Pray for those who watched this conference, and bought into the lies! You can read the Church’s PDF which is where we originally retrieved them, and/or see their talks in the links we provided below.
One thing is certain. The Church continues to point inward to avoid pointing to Jesus.
#1 — Testimonies are Strength of Church
ChurchNews.com “My dear brothers and sisters, the strength of the Church lies in the efforts and ever-growing testimonies of its members.” — Russell Nelson
Why isn’t Jesus the strength of the Church?
Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
#2 — Character Traits of Mormon God
General Conference, ‘God is Among Us’, April 2021 “God lives and cares about all His children, even in hours of turmoil, confusion and chaos. He has appeared in the latter days to restore truth and light, His gospel and His Church, and He speaks to prophets again.
God is among us — and is personally involved in our lives and actively guiding His children.” — Dieter Uchtdorf
Question…
If the Mormon god left everyone before 1830, how can you trust he won’t do this again?
Moreover, the Mormon god is not omnipresent, so how could he be involved in everyone’s lives?
Articles of Faith, p. 42 “God is Omnipresent…If God possesses a form, that form is of necessity of definite proportions and therefore of limited extension in space. It is therefore impossible for Him to occupy at one time more than one space of such limits; and it is not surprising therefore to learn from the scripture that He moves from place to place. …
God is Omnipotent: —
He is properly called the Almighty. … There can be no limits to the powers of God; whatever His wisdom indicates as fit to be done He can and will do. The means through which He operates may not be of infinite capacity in themselves; but they are directed by an infinite power. A rational conception of His omnipotence is power to do all that He may will to do.” — James Talmage
So, if the Mormon god has to rely on external power sources, how can he be omnipotent? Changing the meaning of words is a trick the Church plays on its members to keep them confused. Remember beloved, dictionaries are a click away.
If Mr. Talmage is correct that means I’m omnipotent as well as the two-year-old that might be running around in your house right now.
#3 — Eternal Happiness Points to Baptisms for Dead
2 Corinthians 6:2 “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”
Church News, ‘I Love to see the Temple’, April 2021 “Eternal happiness depends on doing “our best to offer the same lasting happiness to as many of our kindred as we can,” on both sides of the veil.
Youth who receive a temple recommend to perform proxy baptisms will learn “that the ordinances of the temple always point to the Savior and His Atonement.”” — Henry Eyring
Questions…
Why don’t works point to the cross?
Why does practicing necromancy overshadow what Jesus did on the cross?
Galatians 2:21 states that we can frustrate the grace of God by living by the Law. More importantly, however, God has condemned necromancy and anything to do with its practice in any form — Isaiah 8:19, Galatians 1:8.
With Love in Christ —
Michelle
Mormons are fixated on their temples. They continue to build temples even though temple attendance is way down, as are convert baptisms. Personally, I believe the temples are constructed as a testimony to man, rather than as a testimony to God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Temples are like cult images. They testify of the blasphemous teachings of Joe Smith
You’re spot on w/ that one!
