TheChurchNews.com “The Savior’s spiritual light is equally as important as sunlight is for all life on Earth.
The light of Christ, frequently called a conscience, leads to receiving the Holy Ghost’s influence, which is the greatest source of light from Heavenly Father in mortality.” — Timothy J. Dyches
John 8:9 “And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.”
Mr. Dyches has been schooled in all things Mormon, and is a well-trained student of how to change the meaning of words to confuse members of the Church. We’re praying those who listened to this man’s talk will use a Bible and a dictionary to help them see the numerous lies in just the short quote above.
The transliteration for the word conscience is syneidēsis. Strong’s noted it’s
‘from a prolonged form of <G4894> (suneido); co-perception, i.e. moral consciousness:- conscience’.
Furthermore, the phrase ‘light of Christ’ isn’t found in the Bible, nor is the idea that Jesus’ influence is referred to as our conscience. The Holman Bible Dictionary refers to someone’s conscience as a verb meaning to ‘know with’.
The word ‘conscience’ is in the Bible 30 times, and they’re all in the New Testament. Again, none of those indicate a conscience is the ‘light of Christ’.
Remember to share the truth with a Mormon in your life and tell them why Jesus is the Light of the World! Don’t forget that God also said, ‘My thoughts are not your thoughts’. Isaiah 55:8-9
