June 11 – How are we made righteous? Matt. 5:6; “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”.
_____
Righteousness in the Greek is; dikaiosune, and it means, justification. The transliteration for filled is; chortazo. To gorge, fill, satisfy.
Our spiritual blessings come from Jesus! PTL! Man will never be satisfied is he’s the one in charge of his own righteousness. We can only be filled and satisfied if we’re feasting on the blessings of knowing Jesus is our righteousness. My works are as but filthy rags – Isaiah 64:6. Let your Mormon friends/loved ones see the comfort you have in Jesus and what He’s done for you personally. Your explanation of how this works is a great gift they’ll think about in their alone time.

“Plainly and simply stated, righteousness is the quality and type of living that results from obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. No persons are wholly righteous: by walking in the light and obeying the celestial law to the extent of the abilities, however, the saints attain a high degree of righteousness; their conduct becomes blameless, upright and just…Righteousness bring to pass eternal progression…” See ‘Righteousness’ in Mormon Doctrine, p. 461. Non-electronic version is on pp. 654-655.
I wrote this quote down a while ago I don’t remember where it’s from or who she is.
” Christians have a unique core that motivates our service, a core that separates our religion from others, including Mormonism, that core is grace- amazing grace” Kara Powell
“If Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about., but not before God. What does scripture say,? Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. However, to the one who does not work, but trusts God who justifies, their faith is counted as righteousness.” (Romans 4:2,5).
AMEN!!!
