General Conference, ‘Deepening Our Conversion to Jesus Christ’, October 2021 “Studying the scriptures is an important part of understanding the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. …Through this understanding, individuals build trust in His promises made in the scriptures, as well as in the promises and blessings of modern prophets. …
In studying the gospel, we are seeking to become a ‘new creature’ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Teaching from the scriptures transforms people. The power of the Holy Ghost is manifest through them to positively change lives.
The Holy Ghost guides us toward truth and testifies to us of the truth…We should seek the companionship of the Holy Ghost. …
We must seek everything that invites the influence of the Spirit and reject anything that deviates from this influence.” — Arnulfo Valenzuela, General Authority Seventy
Psalm 139:7 “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?”
If LDS members were to take Mr. Valenzuela’s advice to heart, they should abandon all of Mormonism. The Church simply can’t afford to have many more talks like this one and think they can survive.
Trying to hide behind all the fluffy Christian lingo is fruitless as their brazen attempt at sounding authentic is anything but.
When I read Mr. Valenzuela’s talk, I couldn’t help but think of the picture I took while on one of our visits to Glacier National Park in Montana. While scampering up the side of a road we were on he crouched down behind some bushes thinking he was concealing his presence.
To read his talk in full see link provided above.
We’ve listed some of the things LDS leaders have said over the years showing how this man’s talk was full of lies.
All that aside, please don’t forget to pray for and share the truth with a Mormon today!
With Love in Christ —
Michelle
Journal of Discourses 2:6-7 “You believe Adam was made of the dust of this earth. This I do not believe, though it is supposed that it is so written in the Bible; but it is not, to my understanding. You can write that information to the States, if you please—that I have publicly declared that I do not believe that portion of the Bible as the Christian world do. I never did, and I never want to. What is the reason I do not? Because I have come to understanding, and banished from my mind all the baby stories my mother taught me when I was a child.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 23, 1853
8th Article of Faith “We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.” — Joseph Smith
Doctrines of Salvation 1:39 “I have never troubled myself about the Holy Ghost whether he will sometime have a body or not because it is not in any way essential to my salvation. He is a member of the Godhead, with great power and authority, with a most wonderful mission which must be performed by a spirit. This has satisfied me without delving into mysteries that would be of no particular benefit.” — Joseph Fielding Smith, 10th Prophet/President
[…] 1 Conference Talk Hides Mormonism’s Lies […]
Gentlemen, apparently you did not want to ‘trouble’ yourselves with the truth. You place yourselves higher than God Almightly. Who, in truth, would dare do such a thing. Only someone in league with the devil.
You’re spot on with that sister!
