Newsroom “The prophet has announced 100 new temples since 2018 — In his concluding remarks at the April 2022 general conference, President Russell M. Nelson…announced plans to build 17 new temples throughout the world.”
Acts 7:48-49 “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?”
Hebrews 1:1 “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”.
While looking through the latest General Conference talks, I came across the Church’s announcement that 17 LDS Temples would soon be built.
Included in their news brief was a reminder that since 2018 their prophet has announced 100 new temples will be built around the world. You can read our article from last year at this time when Nelson announced the building of twenty temples.
Their news reminded me of how different the Lord’s ministry was from Mr. Nelson’s in a three-year period of time. In that timeframe Jesus worked within a 100-mile radius of His birthplace. See IRR.org for more info. In addition to the bible references above we must also consider how His word also puts all the Church’s temples into question. See 1 Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19; and also John 2:19. These of course tell us God’s temple is inside the believer!
In light of all the info above, I checked out LDS Church Growth Blogspot to get more info on the new temples. The site is run by an active Mormon (Matt Martinich) who provides the latest on church data be it good or bad.
An example of the Church’s operation of their temples can be seen in Mr. Martinich’s analysis for Birmingham, England. He pointed out the growth of the Church in England is stagnant and 1993 was the last time a new stake was formed. See link above for more info.
One last thing…
As I was looking at the Church’s list of temples, I couldn’t help but notice a link for a temple in the Ukraine. Here’s what I saw —
“Temple closed…This temple has suspended all operations and ordinances until further notice. If you have an existing appointment for a sealing or your own endowment, you will be contacted by temple staff. Please check this page frequently for updates. Thank you.”
We have to wonder…
Wouldn’t a true prophet know about the stagnant growth in England, or the problems in Kyiv?
Please, pray for members to check out what their church is doing with all their money and for them to turn to the Lord!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle

Here a temple…there a temple… everywhere a temple!
Apparently, Nelson didn’t learn from the COVID-19 shutdown. The world didn’t fall apart from the closure. Christianity went on, business as usual. Most Churches were already live streaming their services.
I think the Christian Church actually grew quite a bit during the lock down. Simply because Christians could invite friends and family from all over to join online Bible studies.
Why didn’t God warn his only mouth piece on earth, to get the missionaries out of the Ukraine, Russia, and the surrounding countries, before the war broke out?
I wonder if Nelson is just spinning a globe and stopping it with his finger to decide where a new temple will be built. Because I know God isn’t telling him to build temples.
And at no point in Jesuss’ 100 mile 3 year ministry, did He ever tell anyone to build a temple.
Acts 17:24
“God that made the world and all therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth NOT in temples made with hands.”
And in these temples people ‘do work for the dead’. In other words, these temples are necromantic facilities. Mormons think they are doing some wonderful work in these white-washed tombs where they exchange strange handshakes. It is a very sad realization that all the wasted money used to build the temples is for naught. I was blind, but now I see.
It’s amazing how much busy work they do to ignore Jesus. It grieves my heart. 🙁
