May 22 – LDS God Can Sin. Job 34:10; “Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.”

There’s nothing in God that would produce evil! His word says there is no inequity in Him.
‘He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.’ Deuteronomy 32:4
Ask the Mormon in your life what good came out of the original sin.

BYU Devotional, ‘The Great Plan of Our God,’ February 2009; “The fall was not a disaster; it wasn’t a mistake or an accident. It was a deliberate part of the Lord’s plan of salvation…without obtaining the bitter, we’d never be able to have the sweet…” – L. Tom Perry

Has the ‘think tank’ in SLC ever read the Bible? Apparently they have no fear of the Lord. They must think He is very small. There was harmony in all His creation before the fall. Sin destroyed that harmony. It was a horrible thing and it meant that Jesus would have to die a sinner’s death for everyone. His death brought a free gift. The gospel is Jesus Christ!
In answer to your question…
I have two thoughts on this.
They’ve either never read it, or they have and made a conscientious decision to reject Him.
The deeper my relationship with Jesus becomes, the more my heart hurts for the Lord regarding them, and the reality of what they’re doing becomes sadder as the years progress.
Mr. Perry’s comment was nothing more than another form of witchcraft.
“Observe, yet again, that in the verse there is no hint given of any emotions, feelings, or attainments, as co-operating with the blood to take away sin. Christ took the sins of his people and was punished for those sins as if he had been himself a sinner, and so sin is taken away from us; but in no sense, degree, shape or form, is sin removed by attainments, emotions, feelings or experiences.” (Spurgeon) Reading 1 John 1 today….spells it out quite clearly, we can DO nothing to cleanse ourselves….it is all Jesus. (I’m off-topic slightly, but this quote caught my attention.) That devil-church makes everything about the ‘members’, and little about God.
