May 23 — Mandatory Sacrifice to Know His Word. Romans 10:8-10 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The biblical passages above are a most welcome respite for a weary soul. Another is found in Ephesians 2:8-9 with Paul’s reminder salvation comes by grace through faith.
When anyone says we must do something to earn God’s great gift of salvation, run the other way!
Likewise, the idea we must sacrifice to get God’s word into our hearts is a malignant injustice of truth.
God gave us hearts of flesh, not stone so that everyone will know Him. Jeremiah 31:31-34. Moreover, Jesus became cursed so we wouldn’t be. Galatians 3:13-14.
On this side of the cross we live in the gospel of freedom. Galatians 4:28-31. The gospel is a message of good news – if we still had to work for everything, how is that good news?
We’re praying for Jesus to protect the minds of the little ones who are subjected to the lies of this man. Please, if you’re a Christian, share the truth about salvation with a Mormon you know!
Don’t ever settle for a lesser gospel beloved! Jesus didn’t die so you could ‘sacrifice’ to know His word.

General Conference, ‘Deep in Our Heart’, April 2020 “…to get the gospel of Jesus Christ deep in our hearts, we need to engage in it—to give our time and talents to it, to sacrifice for it. … as we focus on these principles—relationships, revelation, agency, repentance, and sacrifice—the gospel of Jesus Christ will sink deeper in all our hearts.” — Douglas D. Holmes
