The types of teachings from Joseph Smith has dripped on down through the ages of Mormonism.
While most LDS members have never heard all of Smith’s teachings, the ‘spirit’ of his teachings permeate their daily thinking as they continue to exalt themselves, as well as Smith, and this is just one example of where it all began…

“The immortal spirit. Where did it come from? All learned men and doctors of divinity say that God created it in the beginning; but it is not so: the very idea lessens man in my estimation. I do not believe the doctrine; I know better. Hear it, all ye ends of the world; for God has told me so; and if you don’t believe me, it will not make the truth without effect. . . . I am going to tell of things more noble.” —Joseph Smith, King Follet Discourse; Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 352.

“I know better”…🤔😞 Well I guess that settles it.
I’ve never heard a pastor or Bible teacher say something like this. I’ve heard them say things like “this is the word God”…Jesus says in John…But never “I know better”.
God’s authority is His Word he gave to us- the Bible.
None of the first century disciples said that they know better. They always taught us to check what they say to what God has already revealed. And if someone comes and contradicts God’s word they are a false teacher.

Scary isn’t it?!?!
Holy cowpie. That’s my version of wooden swearing. That man was so evil.
And that’s putting it mildly…
