‘A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.’ James 1:8
Ensign, ‘Repentance’, November 1991, 30 “We cannot repent for someone else. But we can forgive someone else, refusing to hold hostage those whom the Lord seeks to set free!” — Neal A. Maxwell
Psalm 49:7-9 “None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him. 8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) 9 That he should still live forever, and not see corruption.”
We have just one question for today.
If they can’t repent for others why are they getting baptized for dead people? This contradicts what Joe Smith said in D&C 128:15
“And now, my dearly beloved brethren and sisters, let me assure you that these are principles in relation to the dead and the living that cannot be lightly passed over, as pertaining to our salvation. For their salvation is necessary and essential to our salvation, as Paul says concerning the fathers—that they without us cannot be made perfect—neither can we without our dead be made perfect.” For more info see Futility in dead works.
Pray for those who see the contradictions and leave for belief in Jesus!
