‘How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?’ Hebrews 9:14
General Conference, ‘Accessing God’s Power through Covenants,’ April 2023 “As you walk the covenant path, from baptism to the temple and throughout life, I promise you power to go against the natural worldly flow — power to learn, power to repent and be sanctified, and power to find hope, comfort and even joy as you face life’s challenges.
I promise you and your family protection against the influence of the adversary, especially when you make the temple a major focus in your life.” By coming to Christ and connecting to Him and Heavenly Father by covenant, something seemingly unnatural happens. “You are transformed and become perfected in Jesus Christ. You become a covenant child of God and an inheritor in His kingdom.” — Dale G. Renlund
Hebrews 10:10, 14 “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”
John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Acts 21:4 “And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.”
While I know this is the second time we’ve looked at Mr. Renlund’s talk we feel it’s necessary because of how his words were meant to evoke fear into the hearts and minds of LDS members.
The LDS Church uses many superlatives to scare its members into submission and being temple worthy is at the top of their list.
The only one who can promise power to protect is the Lord God Almighty, not Mr. Renlund. This also serves as another sign the Church hasn’t told the truth about God residing inside true believers.
Case in point is the one verse from Acts listed above. The Lord cautioned Paul about not going into Jerusalem and he wasn’t in a temple when that took place.
As the writer of Hebrews said we are sanctified and perfected through the body and spilt blood of Christ. Temple buildings are a thing of the past, not the future, and certainly not meant for today.
Pray for those who believe this man’s lies – my mother is one of them.
With Love in Christ —

[…] Temples Covenants Provide Sanctification and Protection […]
Respectfully, the LDS temples are a caricature of the old testament temple. Also there was never more than ONE (at a time).
If you have a current temple recommend, and you think you’re worthy to enter the temple, then you totally miss the point of what Jesus did for you on the cross. We are only made worthy through His righteousness not our own.
